South Street Surgery will be changing clinical computer systems from Emis to TPP SystmOne on the 19th April.
All practices, district nurses and health visitors across East & North Herts are gradually moving to the same clinical system. This will bring lots of benefits for patients.
The new clinical system can pull together any records held for a patient on the same operating system and make them available as one single electronic record. The result is a comprehensive record held on a central database, accessible either in whole or in part by other services, subject to very tight controls and patient permissions.
We are trying very hard to keep disruption for our patients to a minimum but some services will be affected during this time.
We will not be able to offer any of our online services during the changeover period and access to this will be switched off on the 5th April and will be available again to book appointments and request prescriptions from the 1st May.
We hope that communication between professionals will be improved after this change and we appreciate your patience during this time.
