Change of Clinical System – How this will affect our patients

The Practice is changing its’ clinical computer system mid-April so that all practices, district nurses and health visitors across East & North Herts are on the same system. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We have tried to minimise disruption to our patients and appreciate your patience during this time. We hope that communication between professionals will be improved after this change.

Online Services

If you currently book appointments or order medication using our online facilities these services will not be available from 5th to 30th April.

You can continue to book appointments either face to face or by telephone on 01279 465700.

If your repeat medication has not already been issued in advance, it can be ordered by contacting your preferred pharmacist, via our website via our dashboard, or by calling into either South Street or Bishops Park Surgery with your repeat medication slip.

All patients who have online access will be allocated a new pin number and password which will be available to collect in person from our Bishops Park Surgery between 09:00-11:30am on Saturday 30th April. Alternatively you can collect this information after 30th April, however unless we are notified in advance, collection will be from Bishops Park during our normal working hours. For confidentiality reasons you will be required to bring photographic I.D. before these details are issued. Unfortunately it will not be necessary to issue you with your new pin and password unless you bring this I.D.

If you are a registered carer for one of our patients and consent has previously been given, or you have a child(ren) under the age of 13, you will be able to collect their pin number(s).

For children aged 13 years and under 16 years old you will be required to bring consent from the child and either a birth certificate or photographic I.D. of the child together with your own photographic I.D. as above

If you do not currently use our online services and would like to please complete our online form and your form will be processed after 1st May 2016. Please be aware that you will be required to bring in photographic I.D. at the time you collect your confidential pin and password.

Online Access to your Medical Record

Online access to your medical record will not be available until 1st August 2016. For further information please refer to our Statement of Intent which is displayed on our website.

Results – OUR RESULTS LINE WILL BE CLOSED FROM THE 5–19TH APRIL

Any urgent, abnormal results will be faxed to us by the pathology department and these will be actioned daily by our duty doctor. Any normal results will not be received at the surgery during this time.
