Part – Time Receptionist

GP Surgery, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire

Do you have excellent customer service skills and thrive in a busy environment?
We are looking for a part time receptionist to join our large, friendly GP Surgery.
The working pattern is Monday: 8am-6pm, Thursday: 1pm-6pm and Friday: 8am – 6pm.
You will be required to work some Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

You will handle telephone calls in a positive and efficient manner; assist with front desk duties and general administration. Reception and Customer Service experience preferred.

South Street Surgery operates from two premises in the town of Bishops Stortford, providing services for about 20,000 patients. We provide services during normal working hours and offer extended hours’ appointments. We have GPs with special interests in orthopaedics and dermatology, and our experienced nursing team also have areas of special interest. Our Partnership team includes a GP board member for East and North Hertfordshire CCG, the Chair of our local GP Federation and our LMC area representative. We work closely with the other practices in Bishops Stortford to develop our vision for the future of Primary Care Services in this area.

Bishops Stortford is a thriving town, with excellent schools and facilities. We are in easy reach of London and Cambridge.

Practice Administrator

GP Surgery, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire

Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We are looking for an Administrator to join our large GP practice in Bishops Stortford. Ideally you will have experience of working in General Practice with good working knowledge of SystmOne. Knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous but training will be provided.

The key areas you will be involved with are patient registration administration, scanning and coding of clinical letters. You will have the ability to meet deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.

Our mission is to provide Excellence in Care. We are rated as ‘Good’ by CQC on our last inspection. We have consistently been a high QOF achieving surgery. We have Investors in People Award, and believe in training and developing our staff. Our surgery has many years’ experience of teaching, training and developing our staff and trainees. We have GP Trainers and Associate Trainers and we enjoy teaching our GP Registrars, Foundation Doctors, Medical students and Physician Associate students.
